Scentsy Product Questions

How Long will Wax Melts last?
It depends on the strength of the fragrance and how strong you personally like your scents. Open Windows, humidifiers, and house fans alter the time the scents last. There are eight cubes of wax in a one Scentsy bar. Everyone has different opinions about this, but in our experience when only using one cube at a time each will 10 to 20 hours.

What kind of light bulbs do the Scentsy products use?
Usually, the tabletop wax warmers use a 25 or 20 watt bulb. There is also a larger 40 watt bulb for some warmers. The Scentsy night light mini warmers use a 15 watt bulb. These 15 watt bulbs are tough to find in stores. Click here to buy inexpensive replacement light bulbs.

Can Scentsy wax be used in a non Scentsy warmer?
Of course, but I wouldn’t recommend it. Scentsy’s wax warmers are made specifically for the Scentsy wax and set to reach a perfect temperature. They warm the wax just enough to release the scent into the air without releasing any of the chemicals with it. This is one reason Scentsy warmers and wax are much safer than other warmers or regular flamed candles.

What kind of wax is used when making our scented wax?
Scentsy uses a food-grade petroleum based wax. Scentsy chose this wax because of its superior scent loading ability, melting point and firmness. Scentsy looked at their waxes, but could not find a good quality vegetable based wax that held the scents. The type of wax we use is a not an issue, with regard to the chemicals released while burning any traditional wicked candles, including tea lights. Scentsy Warmers only warm the scent out of the wax – the wax remains in the warmer, thus there is no danger of chemicals being released into the home. You will end up with a piece of non smelling wax that you dispose of and replace with a new Scentsy bar. No wick, no match, no flame, no soot, no smoke, and no wax evaporation!

What is food grade petroleum wax?
Scentsy’s food grade petroleum wax is the same wax they spray on apples in the grocery stores, to give them their shine.

Additional Information About Scentsy Scented Wax
One Scentsy Bar comes in a plastic container with small multiple break-a-part cubes. Choose your favorite candle bar scent, break off one or two cubes and place in the warmer. Next, turn on your warmer…relax and enjoy. You can add more cubes as time goes on or can switch out to enjoy another scent. There’s no flame! How does the wax melt? The wax temperature is very low, just above body temperature. The wax never gets hot enough to burn anyone, since we only use a low watt light bulb.

How do I clean the wax out of the warmer?
While the wax is warmed you can pour it out into a disposable container, back into its original container, or simply wipe the warmer with some paper towels. You may also place the warmer lid in the freezer for 5-10 minimum and the wax should easily slide out.

What about Cordless and Air Diffused Fragrance Delivery?
Scentsy now makes a variety of air diffused fragrance delivery systems that do NOT melt wax. These systems use Scent Pods. Some of these devices are cordless and others plug in using an electrical cord or USB connection. Scent pods cannot be used in wax warmers and wax cannot be used in air diffusers. How much is shipping?
Shipping costs are a moving target and always subject to change. My best suggestion is to proceed to place an order and verify the cost prior to finalizing your order.
