Wow! Mary and I have sure been busy selling our Scentsy Wickless candles at weekend events lately. Mary Gregory is a Scentsy Independent Consultant/Director and we really enjoy sharing our Scentsy Wickless & Flameless Candles with everyone we meet. We’re very active in the Greater Los Angeles Area and we plan to branch out to other nearby communities soon. Who doesn’t like fun weekend events! Often, these events include wine tastings, festivals, beer gardens, games, rides, boutiques, parties, free handouts, great food & live entertainment. It’s a chance to get out of the house and go do something you might not normally do. It’s an opportunity to meet other people that are active in their communities. Many of the people promoting and working the events are actually unpaid volunteers. Volunteers are some amazing people, giving freely of themselves and expect nothing in return. We apologize for not keeping our events updated on this blogsite. Here’s a rundown of some of our most recent events and what we have planned in the next few weeks.
Last weekend we set up shop at Castaic Days! That was a outdoor event right at the Castaic Lower Lake. We had two beautiful days and our booth was located right near the lake at a grassy park like area. As usual, our Scentsy Flameless candle products were a huge hit. We’re always amazed at the number of people that have never heard of Scentsy before! Business was brisk, we sold lots of product, made many new friends, enjoyed the live music, ate great food, and got to watch the cool splash dogs see which was the “top dog” jumping into the pool of water. The event was great fun, but I think the dogs had more fun than the humans.
Two weekends ago, we were at our favorite event of the year, the Santa Clarita Valley Community Expo. This is actually a three day event and it was another huge success. We saw many familiar faces, rekindled some old friendships, and like always, made new friends and gained valuable customers. Great food, great wine, lovely been garden, friendly vendors, amazing entertainment and as always, wonderful people! We’re looking forward to next year!
Three weeks ago we were at a brand new event, The Latino Business XPO! This was a first year event at the Hyatt Hotel in Valencia California. We had a great booth location and met many new faces. We sold lots of product but we were also able to share the Scentsy Independent Consultant opportunity with others looking for new business ideas.
What’s up next? Well, Mary is doing a home Scentsy Party tonight, and next weekend we’ll set up shop at cute little boutique in the Bridgeport community of Valencia California. The following weekend we’ll be at another favorite, the Tidbits Small Business EXPO at the Hyatt Hotel in Valencia, CA. Keep watching this website and we’ll post all the details.
